Moss Outcrop [[Private Arkhor & Trinyah]]

On the outskirts of the lake and the Wyvern mountains, there is a rock overhang out looking Burn Lake, that can only be accessed by going up the mountain or flying. The outcrop is deep, big enough to fit either two skywings or one NightWing. Or one small IceWing and a small SeaWing. Arkhor discovered said oucrop by looking for a home where he could stay with Trinyah. The inside of the outcrop is flat and smooth, almost as if it had once been underwater, and had been smoothed out by the current. Sharp rocks hang from the ceiling as well.

With a hurried yelp of excitement, Trinyah dove into the new home, running past the moss and making her way excitedly around the little cave inside. She rushed from one part to the other with boundless amounts of energy, almost like a newly apprenticed trainee who had just been allowed to hunt. Well, she seemed excited about this.

Ark entered the little cave and saw Trinyah bouncing around with excitement, it made Ark happy seeing Trinyah having a great time. "This enough space for ya?" he asked with a happy smile. "I do like the view!" he explained

"Yea! It's big enough to fit you, too!" she exclaimed with excitement, running around the room. It was big enough for Trinyah and Arkhor to live together comfortably. As she ran, Trinyah suddenly came to a stop, her tail drooping. Arkhor was lieutenant, so that meant he had to go back to the SeaWing palace.

She looked over at Arkhor with big sad eyes, "You are staying, right?" she asked with the saddest and most adorable look you've ever possibly seen in your life.

"Thats great!" he replied happy to know that Trinyah has accepted this as her home. As she stopped it looked like all her energy escape her body, "What wrong?" he asked.

After receiving her answer his face lit up and replied happily "Sure I can stay, I can't resist that adorable face" as he stuck out his tongue.

Instantly Trinyah's face lit up, and she returned to bouncing around the room, jumping up to Arkhor and nuzzling him, thanking him for staying, before she darted back over to the other side of the room, staring up with wonder at the spikey ceiling, placing one paw against the wall.

It didn't occur to her that Arkhor was still lieutenant, and he had lieutenant responsibilities. But then again, like herself, Arkhor was still young, so he probably didn't realize he had these responsibilities either. Probably.

Ark knew that his was a Lieutenant and he had to help protect and run the Seawing expanse, "I can stay, but I need to help Atlas and the seawings" This would cause him to spend a lot of time away from Trinyah. "But I do want to be with you" he smiled and nuzzled her snout letting out a lovable purr.

After hearing this, Trinyah became slightly less excited, but still kept a happy gait, wandering around the little overhang, sniffing at the moss, then trotting over to the back and scratching at the ground. Instinctively, before kingdoms had come along, dragons would mark their territory through special glands on their bodies, or through urinating the area around the habitat, or by scratching the walls and floors. Even though scratching didn't who lived there, it still signified the presence of a dragon.

Trinyah then sat down and yawned, her tail sliding across the floor. "So, what should we do now?" she asked.

Ark rolled onto his back wings spread out, "Hmmm, maybe we could go get some leafs and branches. Something to sleep on" he smiled "What you think? I could always go get some more fish" he asked

"How about we get leaves and branches," said Trinyah, before jumping on top of Arkhor and slamming her paws into his chest, "and put the fish in them? To keep them cool! So we don't have to hunt later!"

Then she rolled off of Arkhor and jumped back onto her feet, shaking herself and sitting down, wiping her face with a paw, "And we can get leaves to sleep on, of course."

Ark bounced onto his feet, "Great! You want to start getting some leafs and I will get some fish" Ark certainly liked the idea of storing fish, and a bed to sleep on. He then zipped out of the cave to hunt for some fish in the nearby lake.

With an energetic smile, Trinyah nodded at Arkhor as he zipped out of the den, following him as well, and leaping off the side of the den that lead to Lake Burn, which was probably the closest source of water in this area. The only problem with Lake Burn was it was public, and anyone could show up.

Finishing up Ark entered the den and smiled as Trinyah returned, "Hey I think we have done well, I think we deserve some fish" he smiled. Sliding some fish towards Trinyah while nodding with a cheeky smile. Ark started glupping down the fish feeling more refreshed.

"Yep! I'm hungry!" exclaimed Trinyah, jumping over to where the fish was and picking it up in her jaws, using her claws and teeth to hold the slimy, scaly creature steady as her fangs pierced into its flesh, tearing off the water-resistant scales and swallowing the delicious flesh that came as a reward.

As both of them enjoyed their meals, there was a rumbling sound coming from outside the cave, suddenly a loud crack of what could only be lightning roared into the cave startling Ark, then they could hear the soft tapping of rain providing a relaxing atmosphere. Water started running down the entrance with the continuation of lightning roars in the distance. "Its a good thing were inside!" he expressed, "Lets start making bed with the leafs" he smiled at Trin.

"Yikes!" exclaimed Trinyah as the lightning flashed, water pounding down on the ledge outside of the overhang of rocks. Lucky for them, the water didn't come inside the cave, only pattering outside of it. She quickly agreed with Arkhor about making their beds now, and slithered over to where she had piled the leaves, grabbing a mouthful of them and spreading them out amongst the rock. When she was done, she curled up on the leaves, tucking her nose under her tail.

Ark also grabbed leafs and scattered them close by to Trinyah, when he finished he rolled onto his back and sighed from relief. He began batting his tail against the floor while smiling at Trinyah. "We have done well today, first finding this place, collected some fish and leafs for bedding. I think we do deserve a good rest" he explained. Nuzzling next to Trinyah.

In response, Trinyah yawned, scooting closer to the SeaWing. He was bigger then she was, but she had grown a lot since she had first traveled to the continent of Pyyria. Now she stood about nine feet tall. Still much smaller then the average IceWing, but bigger then she had originally been before.

Slowly, she began to drift off to sleep.

Ark was right next to Trinyah now, he extended his wing over Trin to provide comfort and warmth, he purred also drifting to sleep with his snout on the floor.

The next day, light slithered in through the holes in the moss. The sound of rain softly pittering and pattering could be heard from outside. The rain had obviously come down hard, for the leaves they slept on were wet.

Ark awoke from the light shining on his face, he yawned and stretched being careful not to awake Trin. He saw the water in the den, realizing that the storm must had been raging all night. It looked like they both slept through it. Ark slowly got up trying his best not to wake Trinyah while he tried to mop up the water with leftover leaves.

Letting out a loud yawn, Trinyah rolled onto her side, smacking Arkhor in the face with a paw. Her white underbelly appeared wet, as did her back, as if she had been rolling around in the water that had leaked into the den. She appeared only half awake, twitching but not actually opening her beautiful, diamond-like eyes that sparkled in the sunlight.

While mopping the water Trin's paw slapped Ark's face he gave Trin an confused look, he then realized she was still asleep which made him laugh inside. Ark's ears perked up, he could hear dripping that was echoing in the cave, while looking for the leak Trinyah moved again while narrowly missing her tail he found the leak and tried to fill it in with some leaves.

Soon the water stopped filling the den, leaving the water to slowly drip down to the bottom, where it would eventually soak into the rock over a period of time thanks to the heat that radiated from outside. The moss blew noisily in the wind as Arkhor stepped inside, indicating the remains of the storm that had raged through the other night. The ledge that had a sort of balcony-like effect on the den was also soaked, and if you looked closely, you could see the tiny spawns of green stems poking up from the crags and dirt that had somehow wound up there.

As Arkhor did whatever he was doing, Trinyah shivered. Which was odd, for an Ice dragoness. She missed the presence of Arkhor up against her body. Slowly, she began to open her eyes, blinking them. The sun didn't effect her sensitive cornea, since the hanging moss from outside blocked out the light. In fact, the light was just right. Nonetheless, Trinyah still blinked several times in an attempt to clear her vision, shaking her head back and forth to shake water from it.

Then she stood up, her paws wet, but not soaked, and shook herself, leaning forward in a cat-like position to stretch, opening her mouth in a wide yawn. Her pink tongue and sharp, gleaming white fangs were exposed as she did this. Then she pulled herself out of the stretch and shook her head, pawing her eyes with her paw, trying to get the sleep out of her head.

Ark was sitting outside in the sunlight watching the lake. Still slightly sleepy he yawned again and batted himself with his tail to make him more aware. Ark heard Trin stretching and yawning, and proceeded back inside. "Morning! sleep ok?" he asked energetically while heading towards the fish pile looking for some breakfast. "Hey want some breakfast?"

Trinyah smiled warmly at Arkhor, and nuzzled him as he passed through the cave and over to the fish. She giggled happily when he asked if she wanted breakfast, and nodded her head eagerly, bouncing over to where the fish were. The smell of food made her stomach rumble, and she scooped up a delicious fish in her mouth and rolled onto her back, eating the fish as if she were an otter.
