Aren't they adorable? (Private: Blizzard, Radiance)

Melody returned to her den after completing a task given to her. She yawned and looked at Patches, hopping around his cage; three hatchlings and a sleepy area. The dragoness smiled at her children and walked quietly towards them. Her small size barely caused her to make any noise. And besides, she had been raised with wild mice and rabbits. She was taught to be small and cause little attention to yourself. Yawning, she padded over to the nest and coiled around her hatchlings. Hopefully, Blizzard would be home momentarily. She was quite bored and felt that it was needed to discuss things with him. She spread one of her wings in a bored manner, shifting its angle and then settling back down. It would be time to teach the hatchlings to hunt, fly, and survive soon. They were lucky. They did not magically appear in a cave, no parents around. They were not forced to find animals kind enough to care for them. They already had two loving parents, a rabbit and a tribe.

The small, brilliant white hatchling shifted slightly against her siblings, and stretched, creating dazzling rainbows and sparkles as light filtered in from the entrance to the cave, and over her mother's back. Pale blue eyes blinked open sleepily, and Radiance yawned. "Where's Dad?" She asked in slurred speech, still fuzzy from a) being a hatchling, and b) being tired.

Blizzard was busy around the palace in his normal form, but he was wanting to return to Mel. Feeling that most of his work has been done, he chose to take the rest of the day off. Walking back towards the den he noticed a few new cracks in the ice on the ceiling. Sighing he spoke to himself, "Damn, theres always a problem around here..." Taking a few moments he used his ice breath to repair the fissures, happy with the results he finally arrived at his den. Glancing down towards his family, softly walking on his paws he crept up next to them and laying next to them. Whispering due to his large state "Hey.. you alright?"

Melody nodded and smiled. "They're fine. They have been sleeping like baby rabbits. How was work?" She asked and then blinked, beginning to shrink Blizzard down after a sparkle show of crystals. She smiled and nuzzled him, entwining her tail with his. "Do you think we can let Patches out?" She whispered. Her voice was barely even audible due to the fact that it was extremely quiet anyway.

Bliz smiled, as he shrunk down slightly matching Mel's size. As he laid next to Mel he return the nuzzle and tightened the twine. "Work was good, worked on some gemstones today.." As he opened up his back paw to show Mel one he saved, It was an clear emerald, quite rare. Since he had shrunk the emerald was around half the size of his paw now. "Yes I did save you one" he smiled then turning to glance at the sleeping hatchlings, "Yes... we can let him out, but make sure he doesn't disturb them" lunging forward he embraced her with his front paws.
