The Winter Gathering (Open To All)

The gatherings, seasonal get together where all the tribes including the rouges congregate to both socialize and talk about the problems of the world. Astral had been to a few of these back when she was a young trainee with her tribe the SkyWings and before she had become a fully realized goddess. Took awhile for Astral to figure out she was goddess. Ever since she was a very rare sight at these events. So why then did she chose to go to this one? She just simply felt like connecting with family and friends on the day the gathering was happening. Astral had many friends all over the world. She was one of the very social goddess largely due to her ignorance of her title for a good portion of the beginning of her life. She was also one of the only full gods and goddesses that had a mate with the only exception being her mate.

The first to arrive; Astral landed on the sun lit grassy plains. The place had specifically been chosen for the gathering due to its very diversely accommodating temperature in the winter. Astral's mate and her hatchlings were due to come a little later on when people were actually going to be at the gathering. Astral hoped the next few to show up were going to be those she knew. She didn't know how much bowing and wowing she could handle. Though it was always nice to meet some of her worshipers. While she waited Astral took it upon herself to shoo away some of the dinos taking up room. Not that it mattered. Soon as bigger dragons than Astral showed up they would start clearing out in a hurry on their own. Astral though was actually smaller than most of dinos so they weren't too scared of her, if only they knew.

Jadespine landed next to Astral. Jade had heard of Astral, but had never met her. A curious Vilociraptor was sniffing around. It gave a small screech when Jade smacked it away. "Hi." she muttered. So far no one else had appeared. A small pterosaur landed on Jade's head with a stick. It flew off to get more and, eventually, Jade had a nest on her head. But she was to busy watching a distant herd of diplodocus to notice the small structure on top of her. The pterosaur let out an indignant squawk when Jade turned to look at a nearby Stegosaurus. It lumbered away from the dragons and started eating a patch of ferns. When Jade was finished sight-seeing, she turned and looked expectantly at the sky and waited for more dragons to arrive.

Sting was laying down on a large flat rock nearby. Her wings were spread as she watched the clouds, searching for any shapes among them. She saw a hummingbird and a buffalo, but there were very few clouds; the sunlight played among her scales, shining especially bright on the silver ones. When she saw Astral and Jadespine, she waved her long tail in greeting, her royal blue eyes holding nothing but kindness and seemed a little wary, but she rested her chin upon her paws. She fanned her large wings, the navy blue spirals upon them glinting slightly.

~Pay Phantom a bit of respect and don't go up to her and say, "YO! How you doing, Phantom?" For she will murder you gruesomely ^^ She wants to be treated with respect. Same as Gemini.~


Phantom had heard of this Winter gathering from Astral, and was a bit interested. There had been nothing to do lately (actually, there really hasn't XD), so she needed something to busy herself with. There were going to be many dragons at the gathering here, so she thought, Why not? and flew down from the palace. She landed with a thud next to Astral, literally towering over her, but that was easy, for Astral was only 5 ft and Phantom was over 70. She nodded at the mortal dragons who had just arrived, acknowledging their appearance.



Gemini flitted out of the shadows, and spotting the two dragon Gods, she dipped her head politely. "Hello Your Majesties. (Didn't know what else to call them ). How are you two today?" She rose up, and landed on the tree of where the leaders of the tribes usually sat.

((Gonna use Wisp and Hikari... But it's too much work to switch back and forth for one topic. So I'm combining them.))

A little IceWing trainee flew into the gathering area, landing on a more study tree branch with the sound of rustling. She had to back wheel a bit, but she managed to get her front and back legs clinging safely, her tail curling around a branch nearby for support. Even at this height, she was still below some of the larger dragons. "Hiii!" She called happily, looking around.

Hikari glided easily towards the gathering area, leaning a bit when the wind shifted. He landed off to the side of the clearing, where there seemed to be the most room. Folding his wings unceremoniously to his sides, he looked around quietly, curious about this gathering he'd heard about.

After hearing about the winter gathering, Ark decided to take part. It was his first time coming to the gathering so it would be interesting to see who turns up. Maybe more of his family would be there, but rather going on his own he decided to see if Aari wanted to tag along. It was a cold crisp morning setting off from the palace but it wasn't a problem for both of them. After a fair while the pair arrived upon landing Ark spotted Astral and immediately went up to greet her. "Hey Astral" he spoke with a happy tone, he took a moment to gaze around to see the others turning up. Loads of new faces arrived, but for the time being it seemed like they where the only Seawings arrived for now.

~Can the wittle hatchlings come with Astral to the gathering, or are they not old enough?

Aari didn't want to go to the gathering. She hated everything about it. The biggest thing would be the amount of dragons there. Aari did not like strangers let alone a giant group of them. On top of that it was cold out. Why the heck would her father beckon her out into the cold to follow him into a group of strangers. The mere thought of it made her want to die. Despite refusing with every fiber of her being clawing at the ground trying to stay rooted in place, Arkhor picked her up and dragged her along.

Upon finally reaching the destination Arkhor attempted to put her down but she clung to his leg refusing to budge from it leaving him to stand awkwardly on three legs. Aari had her eyes shut clinging tightly to Arkhors leg and didn't even notice her aunt Astral was here.

Jade was getting a little uneasy, she didn't like the large number of dragons hanging around. She only recognize Hikari, who she nodded to in greeting. The dinosaurs had mostly cleared away by now, with the exception of the small pterosaur nesting on Jades's head. The nest itself was so tiny that Jade STILL had no idea it was there. She walked over to Hikari. Her pterosaur squawking with each step. "Hi," She greeted him. "do you know what that squawking noise is?" She asked. Maybe there was a pterosaur nearby. She looked around, earning a yelp from her new "pet".

AuSurath clung onto his adoptive mother's neck, eyes shut as she moved out of the shadows and into the surrounding area.  Hearing unknown voices, he opened his yellow eyes, blinking several times to adjust to the light as Gemini performed some sort of gesture to the creatures in front of her.  He tilted his head at the bigger creature, who seemed similar to his mother, but different at the same time.  Not having much time to study the two, he closed his eyes again as he felt Gemini lurch onto a nearby tree, clinging safely to her before looking around again.  He shivered as a small breeze blew by, nestling closer to Gemini for more of her body heat.

Equinox landed in the sun-lit plains, her large wings folding at her sides and brushing the ground, too large to hold unto Equinox without touching anything. She was very excited for the Gathering; there were many family members she hadn't met, and she looked forward to at least laying eyes on them.
She trotted amongst the cluster of dragons, nodding in greeting and saying, "Hello, my name is Equinox." She spread her wings and rose up to a collasal oak tree nearby, away from the tree of which the Tribe Leaders were perched upon. She clutched at a sturdy branch, her claws sliding into the wood with no difficulty, and she gazed about her with glinting seafoam green eyes, searching for a dragon who she could strike up a conversation with.

And apparently, Sheildwing came in from the sky, previously 'herding' a flock of pterosaurs to the shoreline until he saw the cluster, and landed on the plains next to the group. "Bonjour, I am Sheildwing." said the dinosaur-looking dragon, bowing down a bit with his wings. "So what are you guys talking about?" said Sheildwing again, laying down on the sun-lit grass, not knowing a fern is sticking out of his mouth.

Arcke flew around, when word of a gathering spread he had to come because he had been getting less social lately! Flying around he saw a dragon herding some dinosaurs, then the dragon proceeded to fly down to the gathering location!

Arcke flew down, with his wings nothing being stealthy and all accidentally casts a huge shadow over the snow. Landing a fair bit away from the group he walked up to everybody and in delight he said "hello everybody the Arcke is here!" while closing his wings and analyzing everybody, apparently Equinox beat him to this place! His tail flopping around eagerly like a fish, then noticing his half breed sister... Well kind of since she's now a goddess and all...
"heya astral! Long time no see!" Arcke exclaimed to his kind of sister... A little.....

Equinox tilted her head in interest when she saw her father speak to a goddess... Astral, by the name Akreious called her. She wondered if they were somehow related.
Then, she remembered.
Oh, she looks very powerful! Equinox thought. Though she just saw her aunt, she was too shy to approach her. She was a goddess, after all- it wouldn't be respectful to just come up and greet her without even knowing her.
Instead, she drifted down to greet a FireWing named Shieldwing.
"Hello, my name is Equinox!" she said, shyly yet in a jovial mood. "I like your scales. I've never seen a color of red like that before."

Phantom backed away a little. "Well then, Astral," she said to her adopted sister. "I'll let you talk with your friends. When will this gathering start? Does there have to be a certain amount of dragons? Or a certain time of day?" She fingered her spear a bit. "I haven't been to many of these in a long time." It was true. The last one she had been to was quite a few years ago.

Coaxoch had heard about the Gathering while she was out from some of the other dragons going to it. She flew to the clearing and spotted Phantom Ina group of dragons and landed next to them.
"Hey, guys! What's going on?" she asked them.

"Thanks." said Sheildwing to Equinox. "Dragon's don't always have this shade of red, but I was born with it." he said with a smile. When he noticed the fern sticking out of his mouth, he quickly ate it before anyone could see.

Phantom narrowed her eyes in disdain. "Mortals," she snarled. "Show some respect, will you? You all wouldn't be here if it weren't for us." Her spear glinted threateningly. "We aren't the same as you mortal dragons." Her teeth bared. "I should punish you all for this insolence."

"I'm sorry," Coaxoch mumbled, bowing low to first Phantom, then Astral. Then she took off to go home, wanting to avoid getting blasted by two angry goddesses.

Astral seemed to get agitated at the same time as Phantom. Without even knowing it the two were about to give a lecture in sync. Astral and Phantom did have a habit of thinking the same thing at the same time. Astral considered it tolerable her family didn't pay their respects to her put they didn't to Phantom and the other dragons didn't to either of them. Astral roared to get peoples attention but this was no normal roar. It was amplified 500x over with her powers. It had the force of an exploding volcano and literally shook the ground. Right after her roar was finished Phantom spoke up to lecture them and even threaten them.

Wisp shrunk down in her tree when the two goddesses grew angry, her eyes widening. She wasn't quite sure what had happened, but she hoped she had nothing to do with it. She quietly crawled out of the tree, lowering her head when she was on the ground, looking at her claws.

Hikari opened his mouth to reply to Jadespine, only to snap it close again when Phantom began speaking. He turned his gaze to her politely, but reached up gently with his tail, flicking the dinosaur and it's best off of her head with a mere twitch of his tail.

Ark was shocked from the sudden roar from Astral, frowning slightly from hurting his ears being so close. Quickly moving his paws to help cover up Aari's ears, after all he didn't want her to feel pain with her younger ears. Moments later he realized why, after Phantom giving the lecture he walked up to her to apologize, "Sorry your highness, I don't believe we have met. I think I'm related to you somehow... Astral did mention it at some point. Anyways I'm Arkhor" then quickly pointing towards Aari with a flick of his snout "This is Aari... she's a little shy" Smiling he glanced back over to Astral wondering if she was upset with him.

Coaxoch flew back to the clearing after hearing the monstrous roar. After realizing that it was Astral, and not something that wanted to kill the dragons there, she waited for Phantom to be done speaking, again bowed to the goddesses and said,"My apologies, your highnesses. If I may, I do not think we meant a lack of respect as much as we view you as our friends as well as our leaders. Please accept my apology. Turning around, Coax jumped over to from group to group, making sure everyone's ear were ok.

This is why I hate Mondays, Sheildwing thought to himself, after the rather loud argument-thingy, but forgot this when he saw a passing herd of triceratops. They were pretty much his favorite dinosaur, as for they look like Sheildwing himself. He admired the herd until he saw a mother triceratops neglecting it's own hatchling, as she abandoned it. When the hatchling found out it has been abandoned, it left the herd and came up to Sheildwing. He smiled and picked up the little bundle of joy. "I think I'll call him Charlie" he said as he cuddled the hatchling

Just as he was settling down to nap, AuSurath heard the terrifying loud roar, yelping as he startled. Trying to cover his small ears, he squeezed his eyes shut, almost slipping off of Gemini, but frantically grab around her neck. He shivered, terrified of the darker, loud dragon call Astral, deciding that he did not like her one bit.
