Italics in Chat

As some of you know, I have a character called Artemis. She is a jerk. Of course, I have come up with a way to distinquish the people that are in character and out of character. That way, they do not take insults literally. Phantom has begun using it, and I feel it helps a lot.
Basically, use italics when in character. When out of character, normal text. And if you wish to speak out of character when in character, use paratheses. ( and )

Just to clarify, this is in the chatbox. In the forum, OOC is defined by ((double parenthesis)) or just saying it's OOC.

Update: The italics system has been changed.
Italics mean you are in character.
(This is me speaking OOC while in character.
OOC speak.
I'm thinking.
Seriously?! Underline with italics will be used for emphasis.
