The Escape

Down to Pyrria like a shooting star, a small SpaceWing hatchling fell, her wings barely spread, ready to catch herself when it was time. It was night, so she blended into the night sky like nothing you'd ever seen, barely visible until she hit the ground, her wings flapping out like two big fans to catch herself before she got there, and landing lightly, her wings bunching up as she settled on the ground, closing the limbs in question to her sides. She shook her head, angry, and snorted, a small amount of smoke coming from her nostrils. Then she was off, walking through the land silently. She knew she was on what the Pyyria dragons called the "NightWing" territory. She just hoped they were more friendly than her own. She was tired of disagreements today. The little hatchling shivered, and bit back sudden tears, looking up at the starry sky.

A dull thump hit the air as Neru hit the ground, her eyes closing, almost as if she'd fallen asleep. Inside her mind, she was laughing, playing happily with the snakes, that one by one pulled her towards the abyss of insanity. Not noticing, she played in until only one remained. At the very edge of the cliff, Neru looked up, once more at the stars. At that moment, she was pushed down, the last snake dissipating as she fell deep into the abyss off her mind, her wings flapping but not catching any air at all. For a moment, her body's glowing light flickered out.
When it came on again, it was the same color, but somehow looked more sinister. The StarWing hatching's eyes opened, the same color once more, but again more sinister looking. Shaking her head, and for a moment looking confused, Neru looked around, blinking in confusion.

Still within the comfort of her mind, Neru's eyes widened, and she nodded at Night's words, looking around for any sign of the location of the voice. Unable to find it, she faced forward and nodded gravely, her blue gaze serious. "I want freedom," she said. "True freedom, not the illusion I currently have. Is that possible?"

Opal smirked at Grima, before turning back to Neru, picking him up, and walking away. Opal, or rather, Nightflare, had no intention of sticking around here. She was bringing in an army..... To bring this world to its knees....
