Prophecies for plots

If any of you have ever read warriors or wings of fire, you can probably guess where this is going. Prophecies would be used for major plots, and would add in or add to different ranks.
Oracle/prophet
Interpret and speak prophecies, they receive prophecies from the gods such as Astral and Phantom. They sometimes also speak for the gods. (Like if the gods were unhappy.)
Foreseer
Would see major events in dreams, the sky, and in water. This would be an extremely rare rank, possibly fading over time. They can also interpret omens. Note-can only see quick flashes of things that are incredibly important. They can't look at the future all the time.
Healer
This would add to the healer rank, they would interpret omens, signs, and of course, prophecies. The would still heal, naturally, leaders may or may not also have this ability. (I haven't decided yet.)

Omens are also important, they would reflect the mood of the god or goddess. Interpreting these could tell the tribe if that particular goddess or god was happy or displeased. Signs would have many purposes. They could hint about who did what, show weather or not you are doing the right thing, or which path to take.

Support! Though, we'd need somebody to GIVE these prophecies, like a god of it or something.

Yeah, the gods come up with the prophecies and give them to whoever interprets them.

This idea can work for plot purposes: a God would reveal to someone and tell a event that is going to happen.

Tribe leaders would be the one receiveing prophecies, since they're responsable for their tribes. Generally it's up to the God to choose which one will be the prophet (it can be anything, but Wise Ones and scholars would be the most indicated, since they carry knowledge)

That's a good point. Perhaps wise ones could receive these prophecies, as scholars are more like the tribe's scientists. On the other hand, there are currently no active wise ones right now.

I think healers are the best bet. There are plenty of active healers, at least one in each tribe, and they are also very responsible for the tribe. Leaders should definitely also have this ability

yeah, I never heard of a prophecy on this site, and it would be definitely exciting!
who would be in them, tho? Well, I think that each person who is interested in being in a prophecy should have one turn, as with the ppl who want to receive them, like healers and leaders. And I also think that prophecies should occur once in a time period like once in 3 months.

Thanks! Maybe we could have one per season, foretelling major events, each should include one member from each tribe. Unless one tribe decides they want a smaller, private prophecy.

Since its the gods telling the prophecies then its best for those gods themselves to organize what prophecy they have and to whom they give it to. Its a great way to instigate some more large scale plots. Though this makes it harder on the gods themselves since I'm still the only one of the big 6 that has set up a religion. Come on guys get to it and take your roles seriously. Its one thing not to rp since yea it can be difficult to figure out how to include a god in a topic but this is just unforgivable. Hopefully you all just need reminder cuz otherwise we're going to have to have a massive full god make over which I promise I really do hate doing.
