The Legends Among Humans

So, this is really just an idea, since it's a dragon forum, but I just want to spill my ideas everywhere.

*Grabs flower girl basket and sprays petals everywhere.*

Anyway, I was wondering if we could, you know, broaden our spectrum a little bit. Pyrria is such a unique place and with such potential, being restricted only to dragons seems (to me) like waving candy in front of a child and telling them they can't have it. So my idea is that we let a little bit of extra playable species, mainly supernatural humans.

Hear me out here before you go all "OMFG NO NIGHT HOW COULD YOU SAY THIS LOSJDGSDGDFDFH"

I think playing humans would need to be special, with limited access and auditioning, like a high ranked position. You will only have so much of it. But I'm considering this as an idea because the Reptilian tribes and Dragons are all cool, but I feel it'd be cool to play a human druid or whatever that could have a sort of connection with dragons, whether it be ally, enemy, or (for those dragons who are a little off) even as possible "pets".

But of course they wouldn't be limited to regular humans. You'd be able to make a wizard if you wanted to, right?

I don't know, I'm just spouting an idea. Maybe I'm usurping position I don't have since I'm still fairly new, but hey, whatevs, I like to share my love.

At the same time though.... this is Dragon Role-playing Forum. Adding humans seems counterintuitive.

Yeah, that is the case. It is a dragon rp. You got me there.

I myself chose not to make a Reptilian because I didn't feel any urge to make one. This may just be me, but I felt as if they were too closely related to the dragons to make much of a difference in species diversity.

As for Natsu, you are absolutely correct. Adding humans would seem a bit counter-intuitive, but the humans could have some past revolving around dragons. Perhaps they were cursed by one or such. The humans won't be standing out completely and not have any relationship with dragons whatsoever.

However, I'll let my point stand: Pyrria has such a distinctive world with different creatures and lands and legends. I feel that maybe if we opened up the choices of what we're allowed to role play as, not only would it give the role players a bit more freedom, but it could also influence the entire role playing site as a whole, hopefully for the better.

I thought about making a reptilian, but there's no one else that really has one, or a rp.

I may, after all if we're going to have other races, there needs to be some sort of a face to them right? so they feel like a significant and living part of the world not just another distant unreachable land mark
