The Secrets of DAelorios Island (Open to all)

DAelorios Island -- Located in the Valoras Sea at a distance from the mainland that the former EarthWing territory is from the NightWing territory. It has been forgotten by the tribes, only a myth now. It is said to have been the place where Dragons first appeared after the world's creation. Known as the ElderWings, these Dragons resembled in appearance all of the Dragons seen today. When overcrowding threatened them, they migrated to the mainland which was much larger. Overtime they would evolve into the seven species seen today and eventually form tribes. The ElderWings left the island deserted, nothing but simple prey animals remaining... Or so it was thought.

Or maybe you saw Baldirak heading out across the ocean and decided to follow him. Whatever your reason to going to the island, once there, you'll eventually encounter an NPC ElderWing--played by yours truly. And then you'll be led to the ElderWing's city. Baldirak had ventured to the northernmost edge of the old EarthWing territory. When this place still belonged to his tribe, he would come here to gaze at the ocean. He sat now doing that very thing, inhaling the wonderfully salty air as waves rolled and crashed against the coast. In his youth, Baldirak had traveled across Pyrria, seeing as much as he could. He'd visited most of the small islands in the Crystal Sea and seen some islands elsewhere that he hadn't visited. One such island was just in front of him, though a good distance away. At the moment, Baldirak had absolutely nothing to do; his fellow EarthWings didn't require his services. So why couldn't visit that island for a little while? The more he sat there thinking about it, the more tempting it seemed. Opening his wings as he stood, Baldirak stepped off the cliff into a short dive before ascending to the sky. He smiled lightly as the cool ocean breeze hit him and the sun warmed his back. It was such a pleasant day. For about ten minutes, there was nothing to gaze upon but the ocean and the sky, neither of which had anything interesting in them. There were a few clouds dotting the robin egg blue sky. Some were thin wispy things that might fade to non-existence if the winds suddenly decided to change direction. Others were thick fluffy mounds of rabbit fur that cast shadows on the ground and covered the sun. But soon the EarthWing was able to see the coast of the island on the horizon. The coast was composed of rocks rather than sand, yet was still nice to look at. From his place in the sky, Baldirak could see that the island was covered in trees, the only noticeable clearing being a large lake at the center. But rather than going there, Baldirak landed on the rocky shore. He would work his way to the center of the island.

((Oi, how do you Ullie wasn't able to avoid crashing into you, or was even looking away? No guessing what I'm going to do.>.>))

Ullie glanced over her shoulder to stick her tongue out at Durval when she suddenly crashed into someone--Crystal. How did she even get in front of her? The ElderWing managed to avoid crash-landing, at least, snapping her wings open and tilting her body to the left slightly so she glided. She noticed Crystal's satchel on the ground and went to grab it when she also noticed a pair of paws behind it. She looked and saw Siris, who has just walked out of the palace. Durval landed beside Ullie at that moment and the two of them--though Ullie had to hover as she wasn't quite tall enough yet--placed a paw on his shoulders. Siris, in turn, placed a paw on each of theirs. "Hello, Ullie. Hello, Durval. Eager to get to the feast, are we?Perhaps you'll spare one moment to introduce your new friend, Ullie, and help collect her satchel? And Durval, yours appear to be lost... You ought to find them first. Ah, but you've been looking forward to this day, the salmon calls to you like a mother to her Hatchling. Very well, have your fill. After all, there is nought to fear here and your friends shall find their way here soon enough."
Durval and Ullie looked at each other, then down at Crystal and back to Siris, feeling slightly ashamed. It was all in good fun, of course. Siris wasn't mad at all and yet... His words, calm as they were, left them feeling ashamed. So Ullie returned to the ground and began gathering some of the items that were thrown out of the satchel. Durval, meanwhile, peered into the palace. Siris had just said he could eat first if he wanted.. and he did. But he ought to go find the little dragoness and the strange reptile, even if they wandered off themselves. Durval, usually always happy, huffed in frustration and flew off to go find the two mainlanders or at least one of them.

Odaer glanced over his shoulder at Torg. "I most certainly am not. A Scroll Keeper maintains the historical scrolls, restores those that become too frail. We must preserve our history, after all. And anyway, we don't have or need a librarian. Though, I suppose the Scribe could be considered one... Uh, just don't tell her I said that. Ah, here's the portal to the city.." Henri moved ahead of the two and pushed open the oak doors at the end of the hall, which revealed a portal, on the other side of which was the city. Henri went through it and Odaer followed. The portal brought them to the center of the city, where some of the pools were. Luckily for Torghaith, the walk to the palace was not a long one. Odaer and Henri walked along the paths connecting the pools and made their way through the market, stopping once to greet some friends and introduce them to Torghaith.

Well, its not like he does not like to take long moonlit walks every so often... no wait... its the other thing....sleep, yes thats it. He like to do long moonlit sleeps every now and then.
Torghaith followed the two, stealing glances all around them at the market stalls and looking for things of interest.
Say, where are we anyway? I mean this place, not that we are in the market. I did not really get the chance to check for myself yet and I'm getting curious by now.

Jakarn had been excited about meeting Odaer so much so that he decided to stay behind and carefully plot his own entrance. Jakarn erupted forth into the room extended to his full height, giving the most powerful look that he could muster (although his best effort couldn't scare a hatchling) and immediately froze upon realising only Nyetai was there. "What happened did I scare them off......" He looked around the room just to make sure no one was hiding and was going to jump out and surprise him. I guess they just haven't even the slightest bit of patience then. Jakarn was confident only a couple of seconds had passed for his delayed entrance despite it being completely wrong.

Stella began to fly looking for the other dragons hoping she could get to someone she knew soon she did not like the idea of being alone.

Crystal sniffed the air. "I CAN SMELL IT!!" She shrieked happily, grabbing her satchel and dashing towards the smell of Salmon. She burst through a pair of doors that held the feast. She didnt care if it wasnt time to eat yet, she was starving. She dove down and grabbed 2 Salmon from the table, and landed on a nearby ledge, and as she began to eat the first one, a new hatchlnig pounced on her, knocking her over. (MAKE MORE NEW ONES I WANT A SEAW NW )

((Crystal: "Thanks for getting my satchel." Ullie: "You're welcome." ))

Ullie and Siris both blinked as Crystal simply ran past as if neither of them were there. Siris merely walked back into the palace, as other ElderWings flew or walked in. Ullie sighed and picked up an item Crystal had missed when she grabbed her satchel. Then she made her way inside, too.

A Hatchling saw Crystal grab some fish and flew up, knocking her over. He growled and snatched the fish from her then took it back to the table. His mother landed beside Crystal. Her scales were orange and grey. A tuft of feathers sat on her head. Her eyes were almond shaped and blue. She had gills and webbed paws, a club on the end of her tail. "Sorry about that. You must not be from around here... We don't eat until everyone is present. It's not a rule or anything; Siris just likes to make sure everyone gets something. Sometimes there's a shortage of food, you see. Anyway, my name's Angie and the Hatchling that just knocked you over is my son, Ao."

Odaer walked up the steps to the palace and Henri rode on his head. "We're you daydreaming on your way here? We're on an island in the middle of the ocean. This city is underground." Henri patted the Scroll Keeper's head. "Be nice, Odaer. You can go back to being a grouch tomorrow." Henri jumped off his transport and ran into the palace in search of his friend Ao.

Durval spotted Stellarus and flew over to her. "Hello there, lass! You shouldn't wander off when one is showing you around a new place. Mighty rude, that is, not to mention you could get lost. Oh well, no sense in whimpering over it. You must be hungry, aye? Come on, then! Ol' Durval will show you the way to the food!"

That.... is remarkably close to the truth of the matter.
Looking around, he noticed that they have lost both Nyetai and Henri at this point.
Well... Now that the kids are gone, let us talk man-business. How would you score the ladies of this island of yours? he asked, hoping to... confuse Odaer for his amusement.

(OMG TORG!!! XDD Wait a minute... I feel like Odear's roleplayer is gonna be like: Oh dear.. And sorry i didnt say Thanks, Crystal can become very greedy when it comes to Salmon.)

Crystal yelped over her food being taken away, and yelped again when she spotted the mothers tail. "Its ok.. And no, im what you may call a.. A mainlander. I've only been here for what i think is a hour. I dont know, i cant track time easy." Crystal got up and smiled. "Its nice to meet you, Angie. My name is Crystal."
A small shimmer came from Crystal's satchel as she adjusted it, it capturing the little one's eye.

Jakarn paused to take in the sights before giving a nod of approval to Nyetai's attempt at a dramatic pose. "Good effort I give it eight out of eleven. Nice city.....and what did you say? Salmon? I guess we can't afford to miss that then. Jakarn took a step before stopping, deciding that letting Nyetai lead the way would be a far more sensible decision. Ilos eh? I wonder what else this place has in store....

Nyetai smiled and led the way through the market. The vendors were storing their wares away and heading to the palace. Some sold pawmade items, while others sold rare herbs, potions, and misc items. One of them, who happened to be the Scribe, bumped into Jakarn. "Oops, sorry.. Oh, you're one of the Mainlanders I've heard about. I'm Mae, the Scribe." Mae had a serpentine build and identical in appearance to Siris. In fact, the two of them were siblings.

The Scroll Keeper stopped just outside the doors and turned to look at Torg. He blinked and tilted his head. "Er, what's that, then?"

Angie smiled, "It's nice to meet you, Crystal. And I didn't mean to scare you, ha-ha. It won't be long before everyone is here. Probably a minute, most likely less. Then we can have all the salmon we want! Hopefully there's enough this year... Durval will be so mad if he doesn't get any. I'm surprised he wasn't the first one here."

Stella looked around the city finding a nice place to rest

"Well, I tend to get startled by most dragons larger than me who pop outta no where, heh. But I saw Durval on the way in here. Sooner or later, he'll be here." She smiled. "Anyway, i need to... Take care of something. I'll see you later, Angie." Crystal backed up to the ledge of the ledge, and did a backflip off it, landing back on all fours. She peeped her head from beyond the doors, glancing around. She realized no one spotted her, so hid in a spot that could only be found if you looked for her. She took a piece of wood out, and began to carve another sculpture. After a matter of minutes, the statue was a beautiful statue of a dragoness head, kinda like Ullie's, but some features added and others taken away.

Surely such a prestigious position as Scroll Keeper brings all the women to your lair, no? he asked, mentally laughing to himself at his reaction.

((You don't happen to be Azrok, do you Stella...?))

((Uh, Stella, Durval came over to you))

Odaer snorted and continued on into the palace. "One's Birth Title has nothing to do with whether they will find a mate." He sat a few paces away from a table filled with salmon and deer.

Torg at opposite him to the same table.
So, can I take that as a "no" then...? he asked as he looked around to better ascertain their sorroundings.

OOC: ah i'm sorry im not this person

IC: Stella napped and felt rumbling through the earth as a n eathquake was beginning Stella quickly flew up in a desperate attempt to avoid damage

((Stella... You still didn't respond to Durval))

Odaer nodded.

Angie watched as Crystal flew off somewhere and went back to watching her son, who was diligently guarding the salmon. Everyone around him laughed as he tried to look as fierce as possible. Meanwhile, Ao's twin sister, Crystal (Shush, Crystal, couldn't think of anything else) wandered over to the trainee. 'Hi! What are you doing?"

(Call her Renadine. IDK, i just come up with random names.)

"Eep!" Crystal shrieked as the hatchling came up to her. She dropped the newly made statue and her dagger. The statue rolled over to the hatchling, stopping at her feet. Crystal's eyes were where wide, pupils thin, and her heart beating fast. Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god everybody's gonna know and it wont be a secret and just oh goddddddd!!!! She panicked in her mind.

Baldirak had reached the end of the wing he was in. He'd found nothing else of interest, only more dens and a few rooms which appeared to have once stored food. Now he made his way back to the main hall of the palace. He stopped in a few rooms he had explored along the way, gathering a few artifacts to take back to his tribe for further study. He found a leather pouch in decent enough shape to hold a few objects. In it, he placed a few of the gold and silver discs and the intact scrolls he'd found. Baldirak finally found himself back in the hall. By the lack of light coming through the holes in the ceiling, he guessed it was late afternoon. The monarch stepped back out into the forest and spread his wings, lifting himself into the air. Though he'd wanted to explore the island on paw, his good legs needed a rest. So now he flew to the lake, wanting to explore the palace there next.

Renaldine chuckled, "Are you okay? I didn't mean to scare you. What don't you want anyone to know?" she asked curiously. Renaldine could read minds. Well, she would when she was older. For now, though, her mental powers were Novice at best and she could only vaguely hear one's thoughts.

(I think Crystal just found her twin sister, Crys can read minds too)

"I- Its just.. I dont like people figuring out i can do things like this.. Too many things could go wrong... but its ok, Renadine. I just get startled when people come out of no where... And its good to know im not the only mind reader in here, Heh. Could you do me a favor and act like you never knew i made this statue?" Crystal picked it up off the ground. "Just found it outta no where? Like i said, im afraid of the consequences to everyone knowing... Mostly people wanting requests, in all honesty. Too time consuming, ya know?" Crystal gave a weak smile, hopeing to get on this hatchling's good side.

Stella flew around humming a cheerful tune and found Durval again.
