The Secrets of DAelorios Island (Open to all)

DAelorios Island -- Located in the Valoras Sea at a distance from the mainland that the former EarthWing territory is from the NightWing territory. It has been forgotten by the tribes, only a myth now. It is said to have been the place where Dragons first appeared after the world's creation. Known as the ElderWings, these Dragons resembled in appearance all of the Dragons seen today. When overcrowding threatened them, they migrated to the mainland which was much larger. Overtime they would evolve into the seven species seen today and eventually form tribes. The ElderWings left the island deserted, nothing but simple prey animals remaining... Or so it was thought.

Or maybe you saw Baldirak heading out across the ocean and decided to follow him. Whatever your reason to going to the island, once there, you'll eventually encounter an NPC ElderWing--played by yours truly. And then you'll be led to the ElderWing's city. Baldirak had ventured to the northernmost edge of the old EarthWing territory. When this place still belonged to his tribe, he would come here to gaze at the ocean. He sat now doing that very thing, inhaling the wonderfully salty air as waves rolled and crashed against the coast. In his youth, Baldirak had traveled across Pyrria, seeing as much as he could. He'd visited most of the small islands in the Crystal Sea and seen some islands elsewhere that he hadn't visited. One such island was just in front of him, though a good distance away. At the moment, Baldirak had absolutely nothing to do; his fellow EarthWings didn't require his services. So why couldn't visit that island for a little while? The more he sat there thinking about it, the more tempting it seemed. Opening his wings as he stood, Baldirak stepped off the cliff into a short dive before ascending to the sky. He smiled lightly as the cool ocean breeze hit him and the sun warmed his back. It was such a pleasant day. For about ten minutes, there was nothing to gaze upon but the ocean and the sky, neither of which had anything interesting in them. There were a few clouds dotting the robin egg blue sky. Some were thin wispy things that might fade to non-existence if the winds suddenly decided to change direction. Others were thick fluffy mounds of rabbit fur that cast shadows on the ground and covered the sun. But soon the EarthWing was able to see the coast of the island on the horizon. The coast was composed of rocks rather than sand, yet was still nice to look at. From his place in the sky, Baldirak could see that the island was covered in trees, the only noticeable clearing being a large lake at the center. But rather than going there, Baldirak landed on the rocky shore. He would work his way to the center of the island.

Jakarn had been lying lazily on the ground watching time pass and pondering to himself about what he's do when he finally got up, where he is and how he managed to get lost so easily. He then witnessed an EarthWing, FireWing and eventually 2 SeaWings leaving in the distance, although the presence of an EarthWing did not cause him to stir, the SeaWings did and he decided to try and follow them.
He landed on the island and took immediate notice of the palace on the lake Oooo! Nice place better check it out, wonder who made it? Why? When? Should I recognise it? Is it something I should have read about? Never mind time to go look. he thought to himself as he plodded of towards it.

Jakarn paused realising that he was being followed. Now what kind of giant, fearsome dragon might roam these parts. He did a quick spin to face the oncoming "threat" and upon seeing the sight of the hatchling hurtling towards him he paused for a moment to think Now is this a hatchling I have met before? I know I'll subtly slip the question in.
"Hello there are you new around these parts?....No wait I mean...I'm new and.. He proceeded to look of into the distance pensively for a short while.
"What I meant to say is hello there I'm mostly certain we haven't met, I'm Jakarn who might you be? He seemed to pause a bit on his own name of all things and exaggurated the "mostly certain".

Jakarn listened quietly while the ElderWings spoke before congratulating himself in his head Well done Jakarn your blunder went completely unnoticed. You are the king of speech. He was, of course, completely oblivious to the fact that the exact opposite was true.
Jakarn then looked at the hatchlings and asked "Okay then nice to meet you, lead on, I'll follow, let's go find things, of we go!"
Jakarn paused quickly after as something the hatchlings said caught his interest Daelorios....Now don't I have a book on that, or several books or an entire collection of books....It'll come back to me for sure

These new doors led the monarch to what appeared to have once been an armory. On the back wall hung some pieces of armor and weapons that could only have been forged by a Dragon's paws. Everything else was decidedly Human in origin. Along the bases of the walls were racks holding swords and shields, spears, the odd mace. Baldirak noted that, though Human-made, the swords were quite well crafted. The spears only brought back painful memories. He looked around the room, but not much else filled it besides the remnants of a treasure horde. Backing out of the room, the king continued on in his exploration.

The Hatchlings started off toward the lake, discussing what they should show their new friend first. Henri thought they ought to show Jakarn the palace first. It only made sense, given they were heading in that direction. But Nyetai wanted to show him all of the other places, especially some of the ruins they were close to. Unable to come to a conclusion, the two decided to go about their usual way of settling their arguments. Without any warning to Jakarn, the Hatchlings ran off in opposite directions, disappearing into the forest. A minute or two passed before Henri came back into view, with Nyetai not far behind him. Henri, as always, won the race--if you wanted to call it that. "Ha, I win! We're going to the lake." Nyetai pouted and complained about how unfair this ritual was, but she gave in. They looked back at Jakarn as if nothing had happened, then continued to lead him to the lake.

Jakarn watched the hatchlings rush off and upon their return gave them a look of slight bewilderment before hearing one of them referring to "Winning".
Guess that must be normal for them or maybe that was normal for all dragons on this island....better see later.
Jakarn followed their lead to the lake. "So....Anything I should know about this island? Anything interesting?" Jakarn was racking his brain for any information regarding an island named Daelorios but still could not think of anything so instead took in the sight of the lake, palace and all. It's a nice place this Daelorios, wonder what else is here?"

Jakarn listened as Henri explained Daelorios island to him, finally remembering what it was when he was told. Oooooooh...That's where I am...Glad I didn't run into a scholar, probably, or I would have looked ridiculous for not remembering this place I mean I have books on it after all.
Jakarn watched the hatchling interrupt, not particularly caring about not hearing the rest, and followed them to the palace. "Exploring sounds like a fun idea." He took to the air to get there as even though he was a SeaWing he wanted to get the best view of the palace and went much higher into the sky to the palace in its entirety before swooping back down to the entrance.

Crystal was roaming the territories, looking for something interesting. She had come by the old EarthWing territory to see if there was any scraps of healing stuff. She came by the shore, and spotted a small dot. She wondered if thats where the ElderWings lived. She pulled a scroll out of her satchel that gave little information about it. It mainly pointed out it was by Earthwing territory. Crystal became excited, and began to run towards the dot. She began to run over the ocean, her paws freezing the water below her. After getting about a yard away from the shore, the ice began to melt. She ran towards the island, and spotted another dragon by the shore of the island. They were snoozing the day away, their scales eating up the sunrays. She screeched to a stop, breaking the ice underneath her, splashing the ElderWing awake. Crystal hid underwater, slowly running out of breath.

Bubbles came from the ocean, and Crysal's head popped out of the ocean, gasping for air. She spotted the ElderWing awake, and ran to a nearby rock, hiding behind it. "She totally saw me...." Crystal mumbled.

"Uh.. Ok." Crystal inched out from behind the rock. And looked at Ullie. "Hi. Im Crystal... Are you a ElderWing?" She asked.

Jakarn followed the hatchlings inside and took notice of how well maintained everything was despite its age. "Nice place you've got here; who else is around?" Jakarn paid attention to the statues of the dragon gods Fancy...Guess the gods must have meant quite a lot to these ElderWings." Jakarn did a quick look around to see if there was anything interesting in the current room before looking back to the hatchlings "So where are off to then? Where's the most interesting bit? Are we going to see someone? Who would we be going to see? Jakarn was quite excited by the island and didn't contain particularly well at all.

"Hm? Oh! I know your an ElderWing because of these Scrolls i found. All they said was this island here was by the EarthWing Territory... And im an Icewing. What exactly is this place called?" Crystal asked. "And im sorry for all the questions, i want to give research to me tribe."

Nyetai and Henri looked around as well. They were just as excited to explore the place as their new friend was. Not that they hadn't before, but there was likely a room or two they hadn't seen. "Thanks. I don't think there's anyone else here right now. Hey, I know something you might like to see. There's a huge library here.. Somewhere. Uh, Henri?" Henri couldn't help rolling his eyes, but he chuckled. Of course Nyetai would know how to find anything that didn't involve learning. "Yeah, I know where it is. It's really great, Jakarn. We keep some scrolls here, a few artifacts... And actually, Odaer might be here. He usually is. Come on." The Hatchling took off, leading his friends out of the main hall. He took a left, going down a corridor which lead to some dens, a place for sun bathing. Another hall led to a room full of statues, ones of dragons who were once important or well liked. Nyetai, who had at some point decided to sit on Jarkan's back, insisted on stating in this room for a few minutes, as there were quite a few statues she wanted to tell Jakarn about.

"Wow, really? I didn't know you mainlanders had any of these scrolls. I guess some were taken during the migration. And don't worry, I love to answer questions! This island is called Daelorios. So, you're an IceWing, huh? I think I've read about your species before." Ullie smiled as she spoke, quite happy to teach as well as learn. She laughed when she heard her stomach growl. "It's almost time for the feast, according to my stomach. Are you hungry, you can come, too. Oh, and what sort of research are you doing? Maybe Odaer can help. He knows everything there is to know about the island." Ullie stood and stretched before opening her wings and taking to the air.

In the aforementioned library, suddenly a lot of clanking and shuffling could be heard from a secluded area. Torghaith stumbling around, loaded with supplies might have something to do with that. He laid down for a few minutes to regain his stamina and consider his situation.
Just a some days ago, he came across a scroll that turned out to have originally come from some rather mysterious place. Try as he might, he could not find any information on it. After studying it for several days, he managed to figure out the probable location of its origin, and prepared for a....field trip, lets say. (The word "Adventuuureee!" was rather loud in the back of his mind though...). And now, he ended up here... Where "here" might actually be, is a bit harder to discern, but he did bring some stuff with him to narrow down the possible locations.
Man, this always tires me out... he mused to himself. Even though i have quite the endurance, if i do say so myself, one of these trips leaves me sore for a day... Well, no use complaining now... Onwards!
With that, he picked himself up from the ground and started looking around for any indication of where he might be or things of interest

"Well i manly came over here to find medication my tribe could use since im a healer's trainee. Food sounds nice though, espically if you have Salmon or Owls. Their my favorite." Crystal said.
