Sibling Mischief

Vilkas peeked around the corner of a tunnel. No one was patrolling this one, either. Smiling, the Hatchling rounded the corner and bounded off toward the other end. Somewhere behind him, his sister Evaleen was following. Or, at least, he hoped she still was. The siblings were, like most days, bored. It was no use trying to play with their Uncle Dirak, for he was always busy now that he was king. And their brother Amadeus whined too much about everything. So the two had to find ways of entertaining themselves. And today, this meant sneaking away from the safety of the Haven to visit the old EarthWing territory. Vilkas had only heard stories of the place, but he wanted to see it for himself. He knew, of course, that he and Eva could get into some serious trouble, but they planned on going back long before anyone--specifically their mother--missed them. "Come on, Eva! Hurry up!"

I was following Vilkas, we were going to go onto the EarthWing's rightful territory, where we should be living on right now. I saw something wiggling in the wall, it was small and pink. I heard Vilkas call my name and hurried down the tunnel, having to stop quickly to avoid crashing into him. "Are we almost there? How do you even know where to go!" I asked him, excited to get out of this dusty place. I wonder what it looked like up there, and how it felt.

"I'm smart, that's how," Vilkas replied as he stuck out his tongue. He turned back around and looked at the tunnel. Up ahead, he could see some light, which meant they could get to the surface. "Come on, it's just up there!" The Hatchling took off again, leaving his sister behind in a cloud of dust. He reached the hole and flew out of it to be greeted by the sun. He blinked and landed on the ground. The tunnel was in a clearing, and the mountains weren't far away. Vilkas headed toward them, too excited to notice how cold it was getting...

I rolled my eyes "I'm just as smart as you!" I was shaking, excited to get out. I felt like I could smell the fresh air. I sneezed as dust tickled my nose, shaking my head and running out of the tunnel. I leaped out of it, watching as he walked over to the mountains. I snuck behind him, hoping to surprise him and tackle him.

"Yeah, yeah. We're all smart. Mama just says that so the rest of you don't feel bad about me being the favorite." Vilkas noticed his sister's shadow, given that she was over 10ft taller than he was, and turned to look at her. "You know you're too tall to sneak up on me out here." he said as he stuck his tongue out at her. The Hatchling stopped and shivered a bit when a gust of cold wind blew past. He bounded off toward the mountain closest to them. "What do you think is on the other side?" But Vilkas wouldn't bother waiting for his sister's answer. Why would he, when he could just as easily race her to the top? He opened his wings and leaped into the air. After taking a minute to steady himself--in his excitement, his mind seemed to forget how flying works--he started up the side of the mountain. "Bet you can't beat me!" he shouted back to his sibling.

I frowned as I wasn't stealthy enough. I had Ry's lean body, so I was still fast. I smiled and took off, flying up the side of the mountain by her brother. "You sure?" She asked, pushing another burst on. She hadn't been flying this good, especially because they lived in small caves all day. She accidenly tilted her wings back, arcing in a circle. "Woah! This is awesome!" She said, doing flips in the air. She tilted her wings forward and started doing front flips. "Vilkas, you have to try this!"

(I'm guessing they aren't that good of fliers because they were in the caves and tunnels)

Vilkas frowned as his sister flew past him. But then his eyes lit up when she flipped in the air. "How did you do that?!" The Hatchling then started trying to mimic his sibling. Perhaps his excitement was making him impatient, for it took his several tries to do the maneuver just once. And by then, he had reached the top of the mountain range. He hovered there and looked on in awe and some degree of confusion. They were right on the edge of IceWing territory. What confused Vilkas was how they ended up here.... He was sure he'd been leading his sister to the EarthWing's old territory. He glanced back at his sibling. "Uh, Eva?"

I was enjoying flying around and doing flips. I caught Vilkas trying to do some tricks also and smiled. I wondered if we were always going to stay in some musky underground area, or if we'd be able to come out here. I glanced back at him, hoping we'd be able to come out her more. I hovered at the top of the mountain with him, looking from him to the ground below. It was colder up here than on the ground, and it didn't look very green down the mountain. It looked cold and barren, like no life could live there, no life other than... "Vilkas, you've lead us to the IceWing territory."

"Uh.. Yeah. Well, how about we explore here too?" Vilkas started flying down the other side of the mountain and into IceWing territory. Why couldn't they roam around a bit? Even though they were only half FireWing, they could be here a little while without getting too cold. At least, that was the Hatchling's theory. He folded his wings against his sides and dove a little. Vilkas wondered if they would run into any IceWings.

Bump

"Uh, sure." I said, a bit uncomfortable of going into another dragons territory. "What if they see us?" I whispered to him, diving down and landing softly. I was excited to explore and have fun, but what if we got lost or captured? Well, mom would come and kick their butts, but then she'd put us in a lot of trouble... "Vilkas, what if this isn't a good idea..."

"Aw, come on, Eva. Where's your sense of adventure! If anyone asks, we just got lost." Vilkas landed and looked around. After a minute, he wandered off towards the west. He knew the further into the territory they got, the colder it would get. But he didn't plan on them being here long and they'd likely stay in the area they were in.

I was still worried, and I looked down at Vilkas. I guess, we wouldn't be there for long. "Okay, let's go!" I said, starting off into the new territory. I could already feel the temperature changing, the ground being harder and maybe having a layer of frost on it. I looked over at Vilkas again, if anyone came I'd make sure they'd never get to us.

(Would they know about snow or frost?)

(Eh, probably)
The Hatchling smiled and walked beside his sister. "How much trouble do you think we'll be in if Mama ever finds out about this?" Vilkas looked down at the thin layer of frost that was gradually becoming a thin layer of snow as they walked on. Smiling, he ran over to a small pile of the stuff and kicked some at Eva.

I gave a smile "We'd be in SO much trouble." I felt something cold hit my face and shook it off, narrowing my eyes at him. I snuck around before throws some more at him. "It's definitely colder over here then back in the EarthWing territory." I said, letting off a little shiver.

(I wonder if we should have an IceWing person find us o3o)

(Sure)
Villas giggled and shook the snow from the back of his head. "Yeah, it is pretty cold. Come on, let's go find a place to warm up before we go back." Shaking more snow off, Villas got out of the pile and looked around for a place that might house a den.
