Herb gathering (Open to Earthwings)

Today was a good day. Sunny and warm day. Such days made Nara happy. Well so did rainy days and snowy days. But sunny days were better!
The little dragoness was humming for herself while gathering some herbs in the vicinity of her den. This was one of the rare times where she wasn't fluttering around, rather walking on the ground. She couldn't really do that when some other Earthwing were there, since they might not see her and walk on her.
Her little satchel on her side was starting to fill up with seemingly random herbs she had been gathering. Good gathering, today!

Cradore was busy in his den. He rushed out with his tail in his mouth. He spit it out and slowed to a stop. He looked around and walked through a tunnel into the top world. He stared around and cracked his neck and popped his fingers. He ran out and began to hunt.

Rii was also gathering herbs since she had some free time away form Au and any other vulcan or healer related work. It had been a long time since she had been able to focus solely on finding and collecting herbs. It seemed like she never got out anymore and with the kings plans of expanding the city she would likely start getting more work as a vulcan. So Rii tried to get the most out of her few visits to the forest and meadows near the caverns.

She tasted the air and cast her gem-like eyes around searching for various plants and even some fungus species. Specifically Rii was looking for large old birch trees that had strange looking fungus growing on them. The chaga mushroom was good for a whole host of things but Rii liked the fact that it seemed to help memory even better than gingko tree leaves. She was deep in the earthwing forest, and the other scents and tastes of earthwing dragons wandering the forest did not worry her too much. Though her tail spikes were always covered in her venom because who knew if anybody else might be out and about in the tribe's territory?

Vilkas had been in the Training Chambers. He was trying out some last-resort maneuvers which made use of his spike-y hide. That had been the plan, anyway. He ended up accidentally injuring himself and his sparring partner, Ducat. The latter got a burned shoulder, while Vilkas received a sprained ankle--at least, it felt sprained. The two made their way to the Healing Chamber.

((Welp, meeting three dragons at once with such a short attention span, difficult :p))

Nara continued to hum for herself as she heard another dragon approaching. Who was this dragon? Oh yes it was Cradore. Cradore who seemed to be searching for something, a prey surely. Ready to pounce, tail low... Yep, hunting.
"Hello there, Cradore! Out for a hunt? Weather is nice for a hunt!" she loudly chirped from afar, getting closed to him.
"But you probably need calm for your hunt... Good luck!" she then whispered, almost in his ear.
And with that she started to flutter away. Cradore needed calm to hunt, he didn't need Nara to scare the preys!
Not so far from there she spotted another dragon, a long dragon. She had seen her, but never met. Well today was the day! On top of that she heard she was a healer, just like her.
"Hello there, long dragon! I haven't met you yet, I'm Nara! Nara is happy to meet another healer. Healers are always nice. And Nara doesn't feel so small next to long dragon! Long dragon doesn't risk to walk on me..." she chirped.
Rii had probably already been warned about how strange Nara could act sometimes, but seeing it in action was another thing. Her high pitched voice truly was making her sound like an hatchling, and her behavior wasn't really contradicting this feeling...
Another dragon arrived, no two judging by the steps. Nara turned her head to see Vilkas and another dragon she hadn't met yet. They both weren't walking normally. Frowning, Nara fluttered away from Rii and went to see them.
"Vilkas and other dragon not walking well..." she commented, starting to examinate them.
Nara flew around the two dragons, inspecting them everywhere. To anyone not used to her, seeing someone fly between your legs and around you could be rather disturbing.
"Vilkas has a problem with ankle, strained? Yes, strained. And you, shoulder burned. Not too badly, but burned. Yes, that needs ointment." she chirped in a slightly more serious tone.
While inspecting the two dragons, she landed near the zones that needed heal to touch them. The powder from her wings landed on the injured zoned, relieving the pain.
"Nothing too bad! You can sit here, I'll go and take things to heal you!" she added with a big smile.

Rii lifts her head from the earth as she hears the flutter of fast wing beats near her. She looks upwards to see a small dragon with a collection bag full of herbs. The she dragons high voice and fast words relaxed Rii some as she looked over the stranger. Her tongue slithered out slowly tasting the air and comfirming that this was one of the earthwing dragons that she had scented near the herb den area in the tunnels.

Hello Nara it is nice to meet you. I am Rii, vulcan and novice healer. she dipped her head once respectfully in greeting then watched the female become distracted by something behind them and rush over. Sighing Rii silently hoped that this somewhat annoying female wasn't going to be her teacher or someone she'd have to spend time with. Not if she was going to be such a fast talker like that. Rii tended to like dragons who took things a little slower like she did.

Rahnma had been busy this morning, as usual. He had been crushing up herbs together to make crumbs for new treatments. Crushing, grinding, and liquefying wasn't always easy. Especially with several pounds of medicinal items that needed to be tended to. He spent his whole entire morning fixing and organizing and grinding herbs into jars and small containers so that he could store them in the healing chambers.

He gathered up his containers (Which was almost too much to carry) and headed towards the healing chambers, little to no surprise, Vilkas, Ducat, and the Head Healer, Nara, were all gathered in the same chambers which he expected no one would lurk at this hour. He sighed with a smile and placed the medicinal items, containers and jars alike, on the shelves and tables.

"Pardon me. Just restocking on the medicine- Oh geez, Vilkas. What did you do now?" He was cut off by seeing the mild injuries he and his partner would have, and walked over to examine them as Nara tended to it. "How did this happen? Were you training without supervision?" He chuckled and shook his head. "I'm sorry for the trouble, Nara. I know you but you may not know me. I'm one of Baldirak's Royal Guards, a healer, and an architect, Rahnma. A pleasure to meet the Head Healer." He smiled and bowed.

Ducat was a little disappointed to see that Nara would be tending to him. He liked the Healer, but at the moment, he wasn't in the mood for her personality and fast talking. Vilkas, on the other paw, was quite happy to see Nara. "Hello, Nara. How are you today?" he asked as he and Ducat sat down while the Head Healer went to fetch some items. They both sighed a little as the powder Nara put on them relieved their pain some. And then Rahnma walked in... Vilkas lowered his head at the Royal Guard's questions.

Nara darted away to search for some stuff in her den, quickly coming back to the two wounded dragons. She first tended to the burned guard, applying an ointment that would help his burned skin recover. Then, she applied some bandages on Villas's paw, which looked pretty comical as she was not much higher than the said paw.
"There, there, now you'll be fine. And hello, Rahnma. Nice to meet you too!" she chirped.
After a last inspection of the two wounds she had just treated, she decided to settle on Vilkas's head. Landing on him was rather tricky as she had to avoid his spikes, but she still managed to do so.
"Nara is fine today. It's a good day to gather herbs! What about you, Vilkas?" she asked back.

Rii begins to head back to the tunnels as her own claws, jaws, and saddle bags were filled with herbs anyway. Though she wished she could stay outside for a bit longer.

As she traveled deeper into the tunnels Rii kept an eye out for the other healer. However it wasn't until she reached the healing chamber next to where the herbs were kept that she saw where Nara had disappeared to. Rii was surprised to see Vilkas there, and another pair of dragons whom she had not met. Now aware that she would be in the presence of others while putting the herbs into the stocking shelves Rii kept her head held high while trotting past the others. She couldn't talk to them with her mouth full right that moment.

Vilkas tried to look up at Nara as she landed on his head. "I'm doing alright, Nara. I was just doing a little training."

Nara giggled at Vilkas's answer.
"That's nice to know you're good! Vilkas needs to be cautious with training, though. This one didn't end well... But it's not the first time Vilkas hurts himself in training." she replied.
The dragoness remained where she was, perched on Vilkas's head, for a moment before getting off and fluttering again around him.
"No more training for a few days. Only time can heal this! If it hurts, just come and Nara will make the pain go away." she added.

It seemed that Rii was unneeded at the moment as Nara fixed up the patients in the healers den. Rii arranged all of her herbs correctly into the storage area and then closed up the closet. Turning around she made her way to the healing area and saw that Nara had finished up with Vilkas.

Does anyone else need seeing to? Rii asked first before she left to continue gathering herbs outside. She needed to make sure she was not needed here before she headed back out.
