A slow recovery (Private with Rii and Au)

Rhune groaned as he got awoken by the sunlight getting inside the cave. The green dragon lazily put his wing in front of his face, hoping it would be enough to help him enjoy some more sleep. But it wasn't enough. It was never enough.
Finally giving up, Rhune opened a lazy eye. Green. Oh right he still had his wing in front of his face. He wasn't fully used to his own wings, since he had never been able to use them before being free. Removing his wing from his face, Rhune could finally see the cave entirely. Since he was still recovering, he was still living with the healer, Rii. She was nice and caring, and she had made the most comfortable nest he had ever slept in. And she was wondering was he was so lazy and so hard to get out of bed... Rhune wondered if Au was already awoken. Of course at the beginning Rii had made her best to hide Au from him, but nothing could prevent a motivated hatchling to see what was going on. Rhune liked to see Au, especially when he was happy. There was truly nothing more heart warming than seeing an happy hatchling.
Was Rii here as well? It was likely she was already up and went to do healer things, since it was later than sunrise. In any case, she would probably be back soon. Rhune hoped she would bring the breakfast as well. If there was one thing that could motivate Rhune from waking up, it definitely was breakfast.

Finally overcoming Rii's haunch, AuSurath sat on her back, taking a small break before getting up and trotting across her head. His goal was still to reach her head, and now that he was close, he was not going to stop. He had heard Rii say something about being careful, and being the good little hatchling, completely ignored it. Prancing across Rii, he finally reached her neck, and then worked his way up it till he sat upon her head, his skin having slowly changed to a more blue cold during the entire journey as he was blending in with Rii subconsciously.

Rii simply continues her massage ever aware of where Au's paw steps took him up her back and to her head. She makes sure she is ready to catch him should he fall. Her eyes stay on Rhune's form though, and a small smile stays lightly upon Rii's maw as she works.

Rhune was still purring as Rii was massaging his wings. The green male had again closed his eyes, only focused on the pleasurable sensation of his weak muscles getting worked on. He definitely could enjoy this forever. A random thought went through his hazed mind. This made him open his eyes and lazily angling his head toward Rii, noticing Au had finally managed to climb over the dragoness.
"Rii ? If you massage me... Who massages you ?" he asked all of a sudden.
After all it was true, Rhune never saw Rii get massaged. She had to get that pleasure from somewhere, right ?

Rii glanced down to look at Rhune's face as he turned his head moving to look at her. When she heard his question she couldn't help but laugh a bit.

Massagin another dragon is normally only done to dragons who are injured or ill... Or to make them like you more. Normally it's the injured or ill part though. Rii answered back pausing between sentences. I am neither injured nor ill and everyone likes me just fine I think. So I don't need to be massaged. the blue woman finished then continued rubbing into Rhune's back muscles now. They were much more firm than his wing muscles and she was sure that he had done a lot of heavy labor wherever he had come from.

Rhune watched Rii as she replied to his question. But Rhune visibly wasn't liking the sound of that answer. His look was of utter disappointment, loosing his smile.
"What? But... It just feels so good! So one day... You'll stop massaging? I don't want that. It's too good! It's sad dragons can't be... massaged whenever they want." he protested.
Apparently the news Rii would stop massaging him when he'll be better seemed to have been the worse news he got since he entered EW territory. But his anguish didn't last really long with the assault of Rii's paw on his muscles. Rhune let out a murr as the dragoness moved to his back muscles, hitting the hard spots. Yeah, it felt so good. It was a wonder no one though about massaging others just to massage.

Rii chuckled at the innocence of Rhune's sadness. She let him finish speaking before talking once more.

There are some dragons who you can pay to have them massage you. To do that though you have to be a trader, or making money of some kind. You would have to get a job, like everyone here in the haven has. Rii answered kindly while continuing her massage.

Rhune blinked, unsure if what Rii said was supposed to be good news or bad news. Sure, knowing he could still get massages was a definitive good point. It was awesome, even. He loved massaged way too much to let such an opportunity pass by. But on the other hand, having to work for it... Even the word working was reminding him what he used to be. A slave, no more. The idea of working was still slightly scaring him with what he lived. But he had learned enough to know there was no such work among dragons. They had jobs that earned them rest, meals and time for family. It wasn't preventing Rhune to be intimidated by the idea still.
"Oh, I see... So I can pay you for massages? What kind of... jobs are there?" he wondered.
He knew Rii was a healer, and what she was doing with him was her job. He also knew some other were guards, but apart from that he had no idea what jobs were available in the Haven. If there was something that wouldn't remind him of his days with the humans...

(Pffff, time to ruin the moment ^.^)

Sitting on her head watching Rii push her paws against the other scaled dragon was boring.  They kept talking of funny stuff like being sick and doing mommy work.  Looking around from HIS vantage point on top of Rii, he surveyed the den, looking around for anything fun to do.  There was nothing. And he wasn't hungry, which meant he couldn't chew on food.  He was not tired, and could not nap.  Sitting in the den and not being able to go outside, like sunny outside was no fun.  Looking around rii's very long neck, he got up and peered down her steep neck, before turning and matting up her fur as he peered over the other side of her.  It looked too steep for him to go.  "Wii Wii!  I gotta go pee pee!" he said out loud, starting to 'dance' on her head as he was getting impatient and could not get down on his own.

Rii tipped her head a little bit when Rhune asked about what other jobs there were. She was thinking of an answer collecting the job titles she had encountered while in the haven in her mind when Au's movements and voice caught her attention.

Rii paused in her massaging as Au proclaimed that he had to pee. She certainly didn't want him doing it on her head. This meant that she would have to take him to one of the "potty" areas that were scattered around the haven. Rii chuckled a bit then lowered her head to the ground for Au to get off while looking at Rhune.

I'll be back soon. I just have to get him to the restroom area. Rii hurried the farewell not wanting Au to have to wait any longer and hurried off with the child towards the "potty" place. She nabbed some towels from the table next to the entrance way just in case the child couldn't make it to the bathroom i time with her.

Rhune blinked, surprised as AuSurath suddenly complained about needing to pee. He was kinda cute peeping like this about how he needed to go, while pawing Rii's head as he was visibly trying to get down. He smiled as the healer gently lowered her head to let the hatchling climb down, starting to head out of the cave. However, an idea crossed Rhune's head. The green dragon stood up, feeling a bit hesitant to say what he wanted to say.
"Erm, well, aren't the pools... Close to the potty area? We could... Well, directly head there? AuSurath could swim with us... if you want." he finished exposing his idea, lowering his head.
After all Rii was almost done massaging him, and they would have headed to the pools shortly after. And besides, Rhune also was starting to feel the need to go to the potty area as well. Under Rii's gentle massaging some of his muscles had dangerously started to relax...

Doing the tinkle two four step, AuSurath whined as he waited for Rii to hurry up and take him to where he could relieve himself and not get in trouble.  He was getting tired of having to wait for Rii to get moving, and bumped his snout into her leg before she got moving, and quickly skittered after Rii.  Once at the correct place to go potty, he quickly relieved himself with a sigh.  Once finishing his business, he looked up at Rii and gave her a big sheepish grin and smile, lifting onto his hind paws and holding his front paws up in the air towards Rii.

Yeah you can come along! we'll go to the pools after! Rii rushed the response to Rhune as she heard him ask about going to the pools with them. Her loud answering shout as she hurried through the halls with Au to pee echoed as they ran to the potty area.

When Au relieved himself Rii smiled and nodded down at Au. Very good Au! You are getting better at holding it! That's my good boy! <3 She congratulated him then wiped the young one clean with the towel she had brought and cleaned it in the groundwater stream nearby. Then she nuzzled Au on the snout. Let's go to the pools! I know you will like it there. Rii suggested to Au though she would bring him even if he refused. First though she looked to see if Rhune had followed them to the bathroom area.

Rhune had indeed followed Rii and AuSurath to the bathroom, since he also needed to relieve himself. It didn't take long, but it felt good to relieve the pressure of his bladder. Rii's massaging had started to relax those muscles to a dangerous point... Once he was done, he headed back toward Rii and AuSurath, waiting for the next move. Rhune was almost impatient, as he always loved going to the pools. Maybe because it was where his own recovery began, but this place was special to him.

Rii made sure to carry Au to the pools after she paused to check on Rhune. With a smile and a toss of her maned head she laughed and then half slithered, half trotted towards the hot springs.

Once they were there it was easy to find the shallow springs where the smaller dragons could stay. It was there that Rii placed Au so that he could have fun in a nice warm bath without fear of drowning. Then she slipped into the shallow water herself rolling around in it so that the water drenched her fur making it look almost black.

I know it's a bit shallow, but it's still nice and warm. Come on in Rhune! Rii asked him before splashing the male with her tail.

Rhune didn't need much encouragement from Rii to run in the shallow water, up to the point it was just deep enough to roll in. The green male rolled just like a hatchling would play in the water, getting slightly deeper. But after a dozen of seconds he stopped, resting on his belly and laying his head on his paws. The water was just shallow enough for his nostrils to emerge out of the water in this position. Ever since his first swim, Rhune was cautious around water, but still swam a lot. The reason was that he loved the hot water more than the swimming itself. And a shallow pond like this one was bringing the best out of the two world : he had heated water and could rest calmly! A purr emanated from him as he enjoyed his position, his eyes slightly closing. After Rii's massage he was feeling really well.

Rhune's purr brought forth a purr from her own muzzle as Rii slipped further into the water trying to flatten herself as much as she could so that the water would cover as much of her body as it could. The water level rose as both larger dragons swamped themselves sending ripples of light reflecting water across the pool. Au played happily while Rii examined Rhunes body noting the scars once again. He'd lived a hard life, that much she already knew from talking with him and caring for him in the healing area.

Then she rolled onto her back and let her tail float uselessly in the water. Her face, neck, and body were under water, but her muzzle and nose were still peeking out able to breath air. Her eyes were closed, trusting the dragons around her completely now, as she listened to the noises from under water.

This was all in all a relaxing moment. Rhune felt his muscles relax even more than they previously did during the massage, and his mind stopped worrying about things. How calm it was right now... Nothing but that shallow hot water, warming his body after a good massage... If this wasn't life, then nothing could possibly be.
Rhune was feeling so comfortable he started to fall asleep, napping for short and light sleeps. He was just too comfortable not to nap. And why wouldn't he? Napping was probably among his favorite things. For a dragon having been wishing for more sleep for years, being able to sleep whenever he wanted was heavenly.
