On the Hunt (Open to all)

Wake flew low, practically skimming the tree tops as he searched for food between Seawing and Earthwing territory. Sure, the wyvern could've fished, but with human boats in the water Wake preferred to hunt inland. After hunting for almost half an hour, the dragon finally saw his prize. A deer that was just begging to be taken. Wake lifted a few feet before going into a slight dive. He when in for the kill, clamping his talons down, only to feel thin air in his feet. The wyvern turned back to the deer running off, and lets out an annoyed roar before landing for a short rest. "Stupid deer! Where's all the prey today?" The wyvern then curled up, not for a nap, but just to rest and think of a way to get some food without swiping it from someone.

Toxin isn't that fast on land and his joint gets stabbed. He hisses deeply and that wing drops limp. He only takes a few steps back. "You two behind me, get out of here!"

He was meant to be a distraction any way. Sure the stab hurt but he wouldn't want a hatching to face this pain. Never wanting to attack in the first place he just keeps himself standing and in the way.

Wake saw this, shocked with what was happening. He quickly ran between the new wyvern and the manticore, giving the dragon a look as he did this."What are you doing?" Wake's horns were frilled out as he did this, looking ready to defend the manticore. It was his territory after all.

The glow in his mouth fades and his eyes soften. "I though he wanted to kill you..." He drops his other wing, at the moment not able to fly, helpless.

"I thought he wanted to kill you and the hatching. I didn't want him to kill you." He takes a few more steps back. Shy yes but he still wants others to live.

Wake's horns pressed back against his neck as he heard this, looking at the wyvern with sympathetic eyes. The wyvern wasn't much younger then him, but he could still tell he had some years on the younger wyvern. He understood not wanting someone to die, but he didn't think his discussion with the manticore was going that badly.

Wake then opened his maw to speak. "It ok. But why did you think he was going to kill us?

"Your on his land, trying to eat his food. If food is as scares as it has been then i would understand trying to kill someone to protect it." He looks down in shame.

"Not many lands have food any more. It wouldn't be so strange for a dragon to die or kill protecting it."

Servius watched as pathetic lizard took his attack without any attempt to avoid it, nor did he try to strike back. Although, that would indeed have been foolish.. Then the other Dragon got in the way but stood with his back to The Manticore. The winged lion growled for now he could only read half of the conversation, not that he really cared what it was these pests talked about. Meanwhile, the baby lizard was unattended... and if these other two insisted on keeping Servius from hunting... Well why let a good snack go to waste? The Manticore walked around the two overgrown lizards and sniffed the air, looking for the Hatchling.

Wake was about to speak to the other wyvern again, when he noticed how the manticore eyed Berwyn. The bipedal wyvern quickly ran to the hatchling, and used one of his wing's hooks to lift the young dragon onto his back. Wake then eyed the manticore, before speaking. "We'll be leaving your territory now, and I'm sorry for all this. I would like to know your name though. In case we ever meet under more friendly circumstances. Wake genuinely wanted to know. He may have been a Rogue, but Wake would rather have a not-so-kind acquaintance then a full blown enemy.

Toxin folds his OK wing to his back and his limp one he alows to drag across the ground. "Good luck" he looks to the two dragons and sinks away into the woods till he can fly again

The bipedal reptile dared to deny The Manticore his potential snack, then had the nerve to inquire his name. The upper lip of the winged lion curled upward slightly to reveal his teeth as he growled. Did this inferior little lizard really think itself worthy enough to know the name of the great predator from his own maw? His scorpion tail lashed slowly at the air, still hungering for the hide of prey... but this bipedal Dragon wouldn"t do, nor the Hatchling he carried. No, they were too small. Oh, so were Humans, but they at least were formidable predators... At least, they had been when Servius was but a cub. Still, small as they were, Humans made a fine feast for The Manticore and he could eat as many of them as his belly desired. Dragons... they would certainly keep him full the bigger they were, but why force his stomach to digest such unsatisfying flesh? The Manticore had fed on a lizard once, a fresh one, but found its taste... disgusting. Perhaps because he was so used to Humans.

Servius marked a nearby tree. It didn't satisfy him that the giant lizard said the words, no that wouldn't do. The giant lizard needed to see that this territory was marked by Servius Eirene Koinonia.. in case he ever forgot. "You will learn my name from the nightmares of the bipeds. It is best you are not here when I come back, I do not show mercy to interlopers a second time." WIth that, Serivus opened his wings and took flight, going back in the direction he'd come from toward a spot he usually hunted for deer.

Exit Servius

Wake eyed the manticore. He could tell this wouldn't end on the best note as the feline growled and marked its territory. Wake wasn't happy with the manticore's response, but at least no one was dead. He then took off, presumably with Berwyn still on his back. Wake turned back to look at the hatchling. It was a struggle of him to fly, but better then leaving the smaller dragon alone back there. He then spoke up. "Just jump off whenever you're ready." Wake had some worries in the back of his mind. He was probably going to have to fish with humans nearby, but it was better then making more people mad at him.

And with that, consider Wake gone.

Berwyn leapt off of Wake's back and flew towards home. He would have an amazing story to tell his siblings when he got back. He flew as fast as his tiny wings could carry him. He realized that he haven't even given Wake his thanks, and the other mysterious dragon he hadn't even talked to. He had the lingering feeling that this might not be over. He hoped to meet Wake again, maybe one day he would.

Toxin can't do much with his wing down. He can just use his back legs to walk as best he can deeper into the woods to hide until he can use his wing again. The 6 minutes not up. He's happy the other two survived but feels stupid, he should have just stayed in hiding. Now he does. Hiding deep in the woods where the dark hides him.

Sagitarius was wandering in the earthwing territory as his soft paws touched the grass bending it down to the ground as he looked around the forest looking for any animals or medical herbs "I can't find anything today..." he said slightly confused as his ears twitched hearing some kinds of noises (who missed me? Cause im back from the dead.)

Snowscale hates ruckus.
And there was a blasting lot of it while he was hunting.
This manticore is really starting to annoy me, I wanted to hiss, but so far I had not been detected as I crept by the clearing silently. The wyvern looked ready to flee, and a hatchling looked similarly behind it. A black dragon was confronting the manticore, Servius, but the manticore seemed mildly amused.
If I don't do something that dragon is going to get shredded, Snowscale thought.
He smiled and flexed his claws.
I'll show that winged feline what spped is.
Snowscale shot out of his hiding place like an icicle-turned-arrow, a white blur rushing the beast.
"YEEEE AH!!" I screamed as I engaged the manticore.

Toxin hears all the yelling and with his downed wing all he can do is run. He makes alot of noise seeing how he's made for the air not the ground but he hides none the less. Pulling himself under a large tree he grabs a branch in his jaws and pulls it down so he can put his foot on it and keep it down. Using the inside colour of his wings, a deep forest green, he tries to hide from the sounds of yet another fight.

The little dragon was walking through the forest, exploring for fun. She looked in the air, wishing that she knew how to fly. She opened her wings for balance, bring out her claws, and climbs up a tree. she was tired after all. she found a well supported tree, but she was not sure. she placed half of her body on the tree, in case it started to crack a little. It didnt, so she carefully laid down on the large branch and started to rest. "hopefully something bad doesnt happen today", she said to herself.

The manticore didn't know what hit him. Snowscale smashed into it at full speed, and the beast toppled over with a surprised roar.
"GET OFF ME YOU FOOL!" it roared as Snowscale dug his claws into its wings. With an enormous shake of its body, it tossed the poor white Skywing aside.
"NOW YOU DIE!!!" The manticore raised its tail, ready to deliver the final blow.
Snowscale had other plans.
He took a deep breath and called upon the powerful wind breath a Skywing possesses.
The instant the spike flew from the beast's tail, Snowscale exhaled.
A powerful wind tossed the barb away and slammed into the manticore, causing it to be thrown a good twenty feet away. Startled, the beast did the only thing it could: it flew off into the mountains.
Panting heavily, I turned around to see... no one in sight.
What good is doing good deed when no one is around to see them??

As she was about to fall asleep, she heard roaring, which startled her. She jumped up from the tree, climb down, and slowly walked to the nonsense. She saw a blue colored dragon. She backed away a little. "um..h-hello". She was worried on what just happened.

Snowscale turned around in surprise to see a small white dragon. His eyes widened, as this was the first dragon to speak to him in three years.
"Um.. er... hey there," he replied nervously. "W-who are you?"

"I'm albino. What just happened?" She looked around the area, concerned. This was the first time she ever met a grown dragon, so she tryed to be respectful to the male.

Listening to the fight die down toxin peeks his head out of the tree. He's hesitant to peek into the clearing where the two new dragons sit and talk. It will be bright soon and when that happens he will have to hide hungry, better get some help.
"Hello?" He creeps forward. His wing still down from the venom so he walks with a strange stagger.

She turns around to see a black male dragon with green eyes. "Oh hello!" She looks at the wyvern's wing, worried. She walked over to inspect the wing. "Are you okay?" She asked.

A little intimidated by the rate dragons were showing up around him, Snowscale silently backed away.
"I'll, um..... I'll just go I guess..."
He turned to leave, his small wings unfolding.

"wait no!" The small dragon ran to the blue one. "i just wanted to know what happened" she looked at the neon green eyed wyvern, and turned to him. "do you know?" she asked, looking at his wing again.

"Did you fight off that beast?" Toxin creeps forward a bit more.

"I got stung by the beast and I can't feel my wing for a while" he drops his head in shame.
