Through the Storm (Open to All)

First topic message reminder :

A storm rolled through the Earthwing territory, not great weather for most, but it was perfect for a thunderbird like Tormaigh. The falcon-like thunderbird flew just below the clouds, letting lightning strike his back as he looked for some foolish prey. The bird soon found stray cow. He soon thought to himself Humans. Never seem to keep watch of their creatures. My reward. Tormaigh then let out a bolt of lightning from him beak, and quickly gripped the now dead animal before finding a relatively dry place to enjoy his meal.

((Well, Albino, since your approved, I guess it's time to start from your first post.))

Tormaigh continued to fly through his territory, just getting back from the coast. He finally looked down and spotted what looked like a small, white dragon. The Thunderbird couldn't remember any white scaled dragons that he shared territory with, so he quickly descended and landed in front of the dragon and gave it a stern look. The massive falcon-like bird gave it a quick look. The dragon was a female, and a hatchling by her size. Tormaigh' face softened as he began to speak. "Well, hatchling, I haven't seen a dragon of your kind here before. What are you doing here?"

The small white dragon was startled by the big thunder bird, looking at her. She jumped back and opened her wings a little, in case the bird attacked her. She answered to the bird "Oh..um...I..I was just finding some food sir, thats all. Im not trying to steal anything". She seemed worried on what will happen next. Tormaigh chuckled a bit at the young dragoness's words. He had never heard a dragon be concerned about whether or not they stole from a Thunderbird. The large creature smiled as he spoke calmly to the hatchling. "Don't worry young one. Thunderbird territory is almost always shared with dragons, and you just happened to be in a part that is solely mine." He then thought for a moment. "Would you like me to help you?"

(sorry that i wasnt here for a long time!)
The small dragon's eyes beamed with joy. "Really? umm..yes!" She felt her stomach grumbling a little. "well, im am hungry,can you help me find something to eat?" she looked around, then noticed, up in a tree, was a apple. Her mouth watering a little, she brings her claws out, a little bit longer than a average hatchlings claws, she started to head for the tree and climb, branch after branch, in till she can reach the apple. Tormaigh smiled as he spread his wings. "Wait here for a moment." The bird the took off and hovered above where the hatchling was. Then he eyed it, a deer about half a mile out. Tormaigh flew as fast as he could to reach before he lost sight of the prey. He quickly released a burst of electricity, which let out a thunder-like crack, to end the deer. He then brought it back to the hatchling before asking her "What is your name, hatchling?"

She was sitting on the branch, looking at him. "oh, well, i was raised by humans, so they named me Albino, since my scales are white and a little gray". she looked at her tail, then she climbed down the tree. "i never tasted deer. i wonder what it tastes like" She took a small bite of the deer, tasting its blood.

Toxin watched the sun rise then set before he took to the sky. Looking again for his home. Leaving the kind thunder bird behind, maybe the fire wing land would provide some hints

Tormaigh smiled at the hatchling's willingness to talk. "Seems like a fitting name. Mine is Tormaigh." He then watched as Albino came down from the tree and take a bite out of the fresh kill. "You have never tasted deer? Well it has always been a favorite of mine." The thunderbird then thought about what she said about the humans. "You said that you were raised by humans. Do you have any family that you know of?" Tormaigh then thought about what he just asked, and quickly added "You do not have to answer if you do not want to."

Soon as he said the question, she felt worried and a little sad. "Well...*sigh* I was born there..so I don't know." She takes another bite slowly. "I hope their okay, and thanks for the deer. It's good"

Tormaigh felt bad for asking what he did when he heard Albino. He the pruned his wing some as he watched the hatchling. "Your welcome. I'm glad you like it. And...I'm sorry for asking that question."

She smiled, trying to forget on what just happened. "It's ok!"she took one more bite on the deer, her brown and blue eyes gleaming.

Tormaigh smiled slightly at this, and continued to prune his feathers. A simple question then came to mind. "So, young one, where will you go after this?"

She thought for a moment, then she said to the thunder bird, "well, I guess that I will just stay here. After all, I don't like humans." She said. She brings out her claws and climbed the tree, Resting there, she thought about what her family would look like.

Tormaigh looked at the small dragon, wonder what it was like to not even know your own family. "I may know a cave nearby that isn't taken. It would at least be out of the weather."

The small dragon felt happy by then. "you do? Then where could i find it?" she asked the bird. then she climbed down and asked again. "can you guide me there please, if you can?"

Tormaigh gave a nod as he spread his wings and began to hover above the ground. "Follow me young one." He did start flying off yet, waiting to see how fast the hatchling could go before heading off.

Noticing that she didnt know how to fly, she said to the bird "um...sorry for this but...i dont know how to fly". waiting for his answer, she followed the bird still

Tormaigh landed as he heard this. He never thought about it as a possibility, but it made sense humans wouldn't want the small hatchling to fly. It didn't take long for the bird to thing of an idea. He lowered down a bit as he began to speak. "You seem like a good climber. Do you thing you could hang on to me back in flight?"

"you sure? i dont want my claws to dig into your skin.." she said, looking a little worried. she waited for his answer as she brings her claws out just in case he still wanted me to hold on to the thunderbird

"o...okay then.." she ran to the bird, her claws out fully, then with her back legs and her tail, she jumped up on the birds back, her wings up a little for balance. "go a little slow please, i dont wanna fall"

Tormaigh winced just a bit as Albino clinged to his back. He then listened to the hatchling's request. "Don't worry. I will." The thunderbird then spread his wings and lifted off, heading towards the cave he told the dragoness about. He then looked back at her. "How are you holding up?
