Raygnar flew high above the ocean, his eyes scanning the endless waves below. They seemed to go on forever and Raygnar needed answers now. About the mysterious "Vilidin", the masquerade of a dragon Firebrand, about that strange dark town that reeked of shadow powers and death.
He had heard from a thunderbird and a phoenix that there was an island in the Seawing territory that held the answers Raygnar sought. Buuuut then he hit the freak storm.
Raygnar suddenly couldn't see where he was going. Winds lashed at his face, and rain pelted his scales. Raygnar had just enough time to think, Well THIS isn't good. before he blacked out.
He was still unconscious when the waves deposited his body on the soft sandy beach.

A group of Catawals scurried up to the body washed onto the beach. Eight of the small reptiles crawled into the unconscious Dragon and looked for the best parts to start chewing on. Two latched on to the wings; three on the tail; one on a leg and one went for the face.
